This product website is operated for Raw Compact by Brightbox Studios Inc., Canada. It presents the software, its development scope and recorded demonstrations.
This website
The site has no sign-up forms, file uploads, checkout, advertising scripts or third-party analytics tags. It does not accept or process your camera footage. Pages, artwork and the product film are served by the website host.
Your browser sends ordinary web requests to retrieve those assets. The hosting service may receive request information such as an IP address. This website and the app downloads and update checks are hosted on Cloudflare Pages; see Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
The direct app’s current development design
Raw Compact is in pre-release validation. This website does not distribute the app or accept purchases. The details below describe the direct-distribution app currently being tested and will be checked again before release.
Selected camera footage is processed on your Mac. The app keeps local workflow information such as chosen file/output locations, saved queues, history and thumbnails to support processing and session recovery. The licensing requests do not contain camera footage or file paths.
Licence activation and checks
The current design uses Lemon Squeezy’s licence service. Activation sends the licence key and an activation label containing the Mac model and an app-specific device code. That code is derived on your Mac from a hardware identifier; the original hardware identifier, your computer name and your macOS user name are not sent in the label.
Later licence checks and deactivation send the key and the saved activation ID. The device code is pseudonymous, not anonymous: the service associates an activation with its licence and order. As with other network requests, the service can receive the connection’s IP address and ordinary request information.
The app stores its activation record in your Mac’s Keychain, including the key, activation ID, device code and validation/expiry information. After a successful check the app works up to seven days offline; moving a licence to another Mac needs an online deactivation first.
Future checkout and receipt delivery would be handled by Lemon Squeezy and involve customer/order information. See Lemon Squeezy’s privacy policy. No checkout is open from this website.
Updates and external links
On first launch the app asks whether to check for updates automatically. If you agree, it checks about once a day, sending the app and updater versions; you can turn this off in Settings, and Check for Updates works on request either way. The distribution host can receive the IP address and ordinary request information. System profiling is off.
Opening an external support, purchase or technical-LUT link in your browser is subject to that destination’s own privacy practices.
